OUR LOVE STORY
Our love story began at The Cannery Restaurant in Newport Beach. Zach was at the sushi bar
surrounded by women wanting to date him when something caught his eye. As he gazed
beyond the 2 hotties he was talking to, he caught a glimpse of the most beautiful women he had
ever seen, Bree. He almost broke his neck as he looked over to see a nurse still in her scrubs
walking up the stairs. He looked over, flashed his million-dollar smile at her, and she
immediately got lightheaded from his gaze. Zach moved quickly and caught her as she almost
fell to the ground. As she regained consciousness in his arms and looked up at him, he said, "I
am taking you home now” and the rest is history…
-As Zach recalls
We visited Costa Rica for the first time as a couple five years ago when we decided to crash our friends Ryan and Amanda’s vacation they had planned to Santa Teresa. Little did we know that trip would change our lives forever. We ended up falling in love, not only with this place but with each other. Our days were filled with surfing, ATV rides through the jungle, and relaxing on the stunning beaches. Santa Teresa quickly became one of our favorite travel destinations. Since that trip, we've returned every year to celebrate our anniversary. We love this place so much and we have always talked about bringing our future kids down here and maybe even one day getting married here. Well here we are, FINALLY. We truly cannot think of a more special & more meaningful place in the world to say “I DO.”
The Proposal
The most perfect proposal started with Zach loosing the ring in Greece…. Zach and I prepared for weeks to go on our two week long trip to Greece and the South of France with only a single carry on so that there was no way we could loose our luggage. Little did we know the small little airport in Milos would make us check our carry on bags and then not even bother to put the bags on the plane….lovely. Come to find out, Zach had been planning this proposal for weeks. Making 6am calls to France the second I would leave for work in the morning. He booked the photographer, the florist, and the most incredible private balcony in Eze for the day after we arrived… which he soon came to realize wasn’t going to happen. I do not know how this man still managed to rebook everything in secret and still manage to surprise me with the proposal of my dreams…. After the first few days of rain in France, Saturday ended up being the most beautiful day and one I will never forget. It was perfect in EVERY SINGLE WAY. We sat on that balcony for hours as he told me everything he managed to pull off. We laughed and we cried as we talked about all of the amazing moments that led us here. To this day, the day Zach made me the luckiest girl in the world.
